The Best Toddler Friendly Family Resorts in Cabo (for 2026)
It is possible to find a luxury family resort in Cabo where both parents and kids can have fun!
Most of the "Cabo with kids" advice online is geared toward school-age children. Families are told to compare kids' clubs, count the family activities, and look for resorts with water slides and packed activity calendars.
That's helpful if your kids are seven.
If you're traveling with a baby, toddler, or preschooler, the conversation changes quite a bit.
At that age, your vacation usually comes down to the room setup. You need enough space for naps and early bedtimes. You want a door you can close after 7:30pm. You want room service on the terrace while your child sleeps inside. You want a pool that feels manageable with little kids, and ideally a beach where they can splash safely without the constant stress many parents feel at some Cabo resorts. Here are my top choices as someone who loves Cabo with (or without!) kids:

A few things worth flagging before we get into specifics.
Auberge properties in Mexico do not have fold-out sofas. That includes Chileno Bay, Esperanza, and the other Auberge resorts in the region. If you have two or more kids and need everyone in beds, you cannot rely on a one-bedroom suite with a pull-out. You will need a true two-bedroom configuration.
Kids' clubs do not start until age 4 or 5 at most Cabo resorts. That is fine. With a baby or toddler, what you actually want is a great pool, a swimmable beach if possible, in-room space for naps and early bedtime, and the option to order room service while one parent stays with the sleeping child. None of those things require a kids' club.
Connecting rooms are the secret weapon for families of four. Two full sized rooms with doors that you can keep open (or, at bedtime, closed!) between you and your kids is worth more than any suite upgrade. At Four Seasons, One&Only, and Montage, I work directly with the hotel to confirm true connecting rooms at booking. This is not something you should leave to chance.
Chileno Bay Resort, Auberge Collection — Best Overall for Families with Little Kids
Best room for a family of 3–4: Two-Bedroom Garden View Villa (with hot tub or with pool)
Chileno Bay is the property I book most often for families with young kids in Cabo. Three reasons.
First, the beach. Chileno Bay sits on the only swimmable beach on the Cabo corridor. For families with toddlers, this is a real differentiator. Most of the Cabo coast has dangerous undertow and a swim ban. At Chileno, your two-year-old can walk into the Sea of Cortez and chase fish.
Second, the pool. The three-tiered infinity pool has a dedicated kids' section with a slide and shallow water. There is a separate adult pool if you want a quieter swim during nap time.
Third, the rooms. The Two-Bedroom Garden View Villa is the right book for a family of four. It runs about 2,600 square feet with a full Wolf and Sub-Zero kitchen, a large terrace, and either a hot tub or a private plunge pool depending on the configuration. Two bathrooms and a powder room.
For a family of three, you can book a one-bedroom suite, but the moment you have two children, go straight to the two-bedroom. Remember: no fold-out sofas at Auberge Mexico properties.

Esperanza, Auberge Collection — Best for Quiet, Residential-Feeling Stays with a Baby
Best room for a family of 3–4: Two-Bedroom Ocean View Villa or Two-Bedroom Oceanfront Villa
Esperanza is the calmer Auberge property. Where Chileno is fun and energetic, Esperanza feels like a private compound. It sits on Punta Ballena with views of the Sea of Cortez and is set up more as a residential collection than a resort.
For families with babies, this is a strong choice. The villas have full kitchens, a dedicated dining space, and private outdoor terraces. You can stock the kitchen ahead of arrival, do early dinners on the terrace, and put the baby down without leaving the villa. The grounds are quiet and the service is excellent.
The Two-Bedroom Ocean View Villa is 2,400 square feet with two terraces and a full kitchen.

Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas (Cabo del Sol) — Newest Luxury Hotel in Cabo
Best room for a family of 3–4: Connecting Casita Suites
Four Seasons Cabo del Sol opened in May 2024 and the product is the newest in the market. Everything is fresh, the design is beautiful, and the service is what you expect from Four Seasons.
For families with young kids, the headline is the Casita inventory. The Casita Suites connect, which means you can book a true two-room configuration with a wall between you and the kids. This is the single best inventory in Cabo for families of five or more. The Oceanfront Villas are stunning but they do not connect, so they do not work for larger families.
Kids for All Seasons is the complimentary kids' program and it starts at age 4, with daily activities and the option to do dinner sessions so parents can get out for a meal.
A few things that matter for families specifically: kids under 5 eat free at the resort restaurants, Friday nights at La Plaza Mágica have mariachi and food stalls in the central plaza which is delightful for toddlers, and the pool zones are well-divided between family-energy and adult-quiet.

One&Only Palmilla — Best Service in Cabo, Best for Service-Forward Families
Best room for a family of 3–4: Connecting Family Suites
Palmilla is the legacy luxury property in Cabo. The grounds are the most beautiful in the corridor, the service is consistently the strongest, and there is real Mexican character in the architecture and landscaping. For families who care about service quality above all else, this is my pick.
For families of four, I book the connecting Junior Suite sets. Palmilla has been doing family bookings for decades and the connecting room inventory is well-managed. Each Junior Suite is about 800 square feet with a private terrace, so a connecting set gives you ~1,600 square feet across two bedrooms with two separate bathrooms.
KidsOnly Club starts at age 4 and is genuinely excellent. The kids pool is a hit with toddlers who are not yet old enough for the club. Babysitting is available through the hotel for younger kids.

Montage Los Cabos — Best Value for the Two-Queen Layout
Best room for a family of 3–4: Coastal View or Deluxe Ocean View Queen Queen Room, or a Two-Bedroom Suite
Montage is my budget-friendly recommendation if your priority is a true two-queen room without paying for a villa or two-bedroom suite. The Coastal View Queen Queen Room is 895 square feet with two queen beds and a marble bathroom. Up to 5 people with a rollaway. For a family of three or four where everyone can share a room, this is the most efficient nightly rate at this caliber of property.
If you want separate sleeping space, Montage's Two-Bedroom Suites are configured smartly: a one-bedroom suite connects to a Queen Queen room, which means a true wall between you and the kids and a proper layout for a family of five or six.
The beach at Santa Maria Bay is swimmable, the property is well-spread on the hillside (you will use the golf carts), and the kids' club, Paintbox, starts at age 4.

Las Ventanas al ParaÃso, A Rosewood Resort — Best for Pampered Stays with a Baby or Younger Toddler
Best room for a family of 3–4: One-Bedroom Suite (family of 3) or Two-Bedroom Suite (family of 4-5)
Las Ventanas is the most service-forward, butler-led property in Cabo. Every room comes with a dedicated butler. The food is excellent, the spa is one of the best in Mexico, and the property has a hushed, indulgent quality that the bigger family resorts cannot match.
I do not always recommend Las Ventanas for older kids because the kids' programming is light. There is a butler-led "Las Ventanitas" program with activities for kids, but it is not a structured kids' club like Kids for All Seasons or KidsOnly. For toddlers and babies, that is fine, because you would not be using a kids' club anyway. For ages 6+, your kids may find it sleepy.
For families with one young child, a One-Bedroom Suite is around 1,200 to 1,750 square feet with a king bed, a living room, and a balcony. You can add a crib without losing usable space. For families of four, the Two-Bedroom Oceanview Suite is 2,100 square feet with a king in the master and two queens in the second bedroom, plus a full kitchen and two master bathrooms.
The butler is the differentiator. Bottle warming, grocery runs, in-room dinners while your kids sleep, transfer to and from the pool with floats and towels already in place. It is the most parent-friendly service model in Cabo.

A Note on Booking Strategy for Families
A few practical things I would tell any client booking Cabo for the first time with a baby or toddler:
Book direct flights. Cabo with a toddler and a connection is not a vacation. SJD has direct service from most US West Coast cities.
Pre-arrival shopping. All of these properties will pre-stock your room or villa with diapers, formula, milk, snacks, anything. Send the list before you arrive. Las Ventanas and the Auberge properties are particularly good at this.
Book the connecting rooms at booking, not at check-in. Connecting rooms are not guaranteed unless they are confirmed in the reservation. I do this with the hotel directly for every client.
Watch the dates. Cabo is busy December through April. If you have flexibility, late April through early June and October are the strongest combinations of weather and lower rates. Hurricane season runs through October so weather can shift.
